Using the File Menu
You can access the New PDF sub-menu from the File Menu and also from the corresponding New PDF button in the File toolbar.
Creating PDF files through the Create PDF dialog box (A)

Select New PDF from the File menu, or click the New PDF button in the File toolbar, then one of the following menu items:
Create Multiple Files
Combine Multiple Files
Overlay Multiple Files,
The Create PDF dialog box will appear containing the same buttons and selection boxes as the PDF Create Assistant panel. Settings for the creation are those for the chosen profile.
Creating PDFs from Files directly (B)

Select New PDF in the File menu or click in the File toolbar.

Choose From File.

Select the files in the Open dialog box then click Open.
Note
Multiple files can be selected, even if they were created in different applications. Each file will be saved to a separate PDF. Use the Window menu to display the created PDF files.
Current settings are used, as defined in the ScanSoft PDF Create! Properties dialog box that you can access through File > Print. In this case, profiles are not available.
Creating a Blank PDF (C)

Select New PDF from the File menu or click in the File toolbar and choose Blank PDF. Customize page size in the dialog box that appears. In the Custom Page Size dialog box, select the Add this custom page size to default checkbox, if you want to create new blank PDFs always with these parameters.
Creating a PDF from Clipboard Contents (D)

Select New PDF or click in the File toolbar and choose From Clipboard. Existing settings are used.
Creating a PDF from scanner input (E)

Select New PDF or click in the File toolbar and choose From Scanner. If this is the first time that you are using a specific device with the program, you have to configure it through the Scanner Setup Wizard.
