Thumbnail Operations

Thumbnails are displayed in the Pages panel. You can enlarge, reduce, embed or un-embed thumbnails.
 

To reduce thumbnails

  1. Open a PDF file.

  2. Display the Pages panel from the Navigation Panels.

  3. Right-click a thumbnail and select Reduce Page Thumbnails from a shortcut menu, or

    Click Options and select Reduce Page Thumbnails.

To enlarge thumbnails

  1. Open a PDF file.

  2. Display the Pages panel from the Navigation Panels.

  3. Right-click a thumbnail and select Enlarge Page Thumbnails from a shortcut menu, or

    Click Options and select Enlarge Page Thumbnails.

To embed thumbnails

  1. Open a PDF file.

  2. Display the Pages panel from the Navigation Panels.

  3. Right-click a thumbnail and select Embed All Page Thumbnails from a shortcut menu, or

    Click Options and select Embed All Page Thumbnails.
     

  4. Click OK in the warning message dialog box.

  5. Save your file. File size will increase.

To remove embedded thumbnails

  1. Open a PDF file.

  2. Display the Pages panel from the Navigation Panels.

  3. Right-click a thumbnail and select Remove Embedded Page Thumbnails from a shortcut menu, or

    Click Options and select Remove Embedded Page Thumbnails.
     

  4. Click OK in the warning message dialog box.

  5. Save your file.

Note

Thumbnails are useful for performing whole-page operations. An alternative is to use Document Assembly which, in addition, allows objects or text to be selected inside pages to be moved or copied to other pages or even other documents.
